You have the legal right to share your salary

In the US, sharing your salary is legally protected by the National Labor Relations Act — your employer can't prevent you from discussing your salary with others, including on social media and websites like Candor.

This protection applies to all "conditions of employement" — not just salary. You're entitled to publicly talk about all parts of your company's compensation, like PTO policies, benefits, equity compensation, etc.

On Candor, you're anonymous

When you post in Offer reviews, your username will appear as a randomly generated moniker, like "Agreeable Bear" or "Rambunctious Lion" (if you don’t like your moniker, you can generate a new one in your account settings).
